Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) Senior Operations Consultant has deep subject matter in experience in supporting the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes within HR. This role collaborates with key constituents across the organization to administer and improve HR processes across various domains/ functions with an emphasis on payroll, HR transaction, benefits, employee leaves, Workers' Compensation, etc.) This Senior Consultant also ensures effective day-to-day transacting within the HR function through collaboration with various HR vendors. Reporting to the Total Rewards or HR Center of Excellence (COE,) this position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee and workplace experiences. The HR Operations Senior Specialist will ensure that plans are administered per federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed. This role provides key HR administrative support to the HR function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS reporting.
Responsibilities:
Supports the administration of global payroll processing. Ensure interaction and process flow, procedures are accurately executed with the payroll provider.Maintains a respectful, non-judgmental, and compassionate manner with employees, vendors, and staff.Administer health and welfare and retirement plans. including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.Facilitate open enrollment. Support includes vendor changes, rate changes/updates, interface modifications, etc.Create, review and analyze ad hoc reporting in support HR and Enterprise leadershipAdministers employee health and welfare plans and act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.Deliver superior employee-focused service by answering employee requests and questions in person, through HR mailbox and/or vendor escalations.Assist with completing the processing of I-9 documentation and maintenance of I-9 files.Supports administrator for global rewards and recognition programs.Administers the organization's leaves of absence in a manner consistent with company policies and regulations.Reconciles benefits statements and invoices in preparation for payment.Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommend corrective action.File documents into appropriate employee files.Work with HR Operations Manager to support onboarding to ensure best in class employee onboarding experience.Prepares and delivers HR reporting in line with business needs and compliance requirements, including required reporting and filings.Performs routine configuration updates to the organization's Human Resource Management System, Dayforce.Respond to employee, manager, and external requests in a timely manner.Demonstrates organizational skills necessary to multi-task, meet deadlines, and re-prioritize as needed.Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years or more of payroll and benefit administration related experience.Minimum of 4 years of related HR Operations experienceHighly proficient in HR systems and databases, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly; Dayforce experience preferred.Expert knowledge in HR service delivery, HR policies, and effective processes.Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees and management on all levels.Proactive and self-motivated, collaborative with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.Excellent coordination and time management skillsMinimum of 2 years of ad hoc reporting and data analyticsBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceCompensation
The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott's total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition.
