Environmental Project Estimator/Project Manager
at our corporate office located in Wilton, NY, just outside the historic city of Saratoga Springs.

Job responsibilities including but not limited to:
Follow and reinforce company safety policiesRead, review, and evaluate projects to bid for risk, schedule, chance of success and profitabilityReviews plans and specifications to determine scope and resources necessary to complete the proposalDevelop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off, crew composition, material, and subcontractor pricingCompare bid pricing to historical dataLead a team of estimators on large or complex projectsThe complete preparation of bid documentsHelp prepare post bid documentation for awardPrepare the project budgetRepresent the company in communications with the owner, engineer, suppliers and subcontractorsDevelop and manage project documentationVisit project sites to observe construction methodsCommunicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals.Perform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb, and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and be able to hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocols.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Construction Management preferredMinimum of 5 years' experience in environmental remediation and general constructing estimating and/or project managementA record of successfully estimating environmental remediation and civil construction projects between $5M and $40MExperience with alternate project delivery methods such as Design Build and/or CM/GC is a plusHave a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, and production rates for remedial work, roadway, sitework and utility constructionProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and CPM scheduling and bid softwareThe ability to work with and lead a team to bid projects within stated deadlinesThe ability to win work with private owners/engineers by offering the best value within their budgetStrong attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust pass a pre-employment drug screenMust have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time
Base salary range:
Estimator II
$72,000-$137,500
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
