My client is looking for a dynamic and motivated CPA Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple tax engagements, provide excellent service to our clients, and generate new business opportunities. As a Tax Manager, you will review federal and state income taxes, build new and existing client relationships, prepare internal documents, provide technical training to staff, manage performance, develop new business opportunities, and more. To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have over 6 years of recent experience in public accounting with a national, large regional, or technically proficient local firm, a CPA certification, and experience in a leadership or supervisory position.

Job Details

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:Reviewing federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, trusts & estates, and exempt organizationsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of various industriesPreparing internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings, and other documents for submission to the IRS, Treasury Department, or other taxing authoritiesProviding technical training to staff members and managing their performance and developmentManaging multiple clients, budgets, and productivity goalsEngaging in business development activities to help grow the firmRequired Qualifications

CPA certification6-10 years of recent experience in public accounting with a national, large regional, or technically proficient firm3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory positionStrong proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual returnsExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsStrong accounting and analytical skillsStrong computer skills: proficiency in Tax software, Excel, WordAbility to develop new business opportunities for the firm.Detail-oriented and ability to multi-taskPreferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Taxation is a plusExpertise in estate and trust returns beneficial
