Business Analyst II

Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) provides health insurance options to Samaritan employees, community employers, and Medicare and Medicaid members. SHP operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunityHealth Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan.As part of an Integrated Delivery System, Samaritan Health Plans is strategically and operationally aligned with Samaritan Health Services' mission of Building Healthier Communities Together.We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst II (BA II) to join our team. The BA II will play a crucial role in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements from internal teams to support decision-making and project execution. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. The BA II will perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation, provide support for projects and regulatory reporting. The Business Analyst team uses a variety of tools/systems that may include: Power BI, Azure DevOps, Jira, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Epic/EHR Systems and other vendor platforms.Our ideal candidate would have the following:- SQL experience- Prior experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst position- Ability to partner with internal customers to gather business and technical requirements- Health Plans or health care experience preferred- Experience working with Power BI preferredThis is a remote position in which we are able to employ in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, or WisconsinEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required. Master's degree preferred.Two (2) years business analysis project coordination related experience required.Experience and/or training in computer and database applications required.Experience and/or training in statistics, computer science, data management or similar fields preferred.
