Required Skills

Delivery of World-Class preconstruction to our clients through daily management, supervision, and coordination with internal and external teams.

Lead preconstruction through direct stake-holder interface, as well as oversee other projects led by Precon Managers and/or Project Executives.

Develop project specific strategies to ensure highest quality deliverables and building of backlog.

Compile relevant data from market and comparison studies to validate or adjust estimates.

Analyze estimates to ensure alignment with market conditions.

Identify project risks and ensure clear communication to stakeholders along with mitigation plans.

Analyze reports to confirm financial health of projects, ensure deliverables are being met, and evaluate workload of staff.

Develop and share best practices across projects/teams.

Ensure work product meets company and client standards.

Identify opportunities to improve process, the preconstruction experience, and lead change through annual operations initiatives.

Develop preconstruction budget and track services rendered vs proposed and communicate as needed.

Assist with winning new work through proposals, client interviews, and select pro-bono services

Position to be part of Preconstruction team and reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction.

Day-to-day close working relationship with Vice President of Preconstruction, Preconstruction Directors/Managers, Project Executives and Regional Directors

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field required, Master’s degree preferred

18+ years’ experience in construction estimating, project management, project supervision, or equivalent combination of experience required

Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices required

Proficient in project management software strongly preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, including Microsoft excel strongly preferred

Knowledge of Sage Estimating, On-Screen Take-off, and scheduling software desired but not required
