This position will perform nursing admission assessments, including reviewing and documenting patients medication list and completing all admission documentation in the electronic medical record.This role is onsite in Brooklyn Park, MN. The hours for this position will be Monday - Friday from 1:00pm - 9:30pm.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Collaborate with Charge Nurse regarding incoming admissionsAssist in patient searches upon admissionComplete Nursing Admission Bundle in electronic health recordComplete admission medication reconciliationCollaborate with psychiatry to order admission medicationsOrient patient to their room and unitProvide hand off to unit RNEnsure admission orders accurately reflect patient needsAssist with discharges or other tasks as delegated by the charge nurse during downtimeQualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree. BSN preferred.Current licensure as an RN with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is required.Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred.Must have critical thinking skills and ability to problem solveAbility to communicate and make safe judgment calls in stressful situations.Ability to multi-task, use time efficiently, and prioritize appropriatelyAbility to communicate in a professional manner in both verbal and written format, and models a positive teamwork attitude.Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products and EHR.Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergent situations.Quality Management- the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
