This position is one of those rare opportunities to create a clear career path for a solid professional.Salary/Hourly Rate:$105,000 - $120,000Position Overview:The Tax Supervisor will be preparing and filing various tax returns and handling compliance and accounting for corporate income taxes. The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of accountants as they transition to managing the local office. Partner-track path for this role.Responsibilities of the Tax Supervisor:
Review multi-state, Federal and State tax returns for C-Corporations and Partnerships, including extensions and estimated payments
Prepare federal and state consolidated tax returns and interface with corporate operating companies
Identify, research and resolve tax issues
Perform corporate income tax functions, compliance, planning and accounting
Calculate tax basis and implications of proposed transactions
Handle voluntary disclosures
Analyze tax accounts and maintain communication with tax authorities
Continuously research and stay updated with current tax laws and regulations
Qualifications for the Tax Supervisor:
Minimum 5 years of experience at another public accounting/CPA firm
Highly analytical and strong communication skills
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
