Key Responsibilities:
In-depth knowledge of tax-related matters.Assesses research findings, tax returns, and work papers, drawing conclusions that align with internal policies and standards, and deciding on the best course of action.Ensures that all tax guidance is accurate and thoroughly documented.Familiar with internal procedures and standards.Communicates effectively.Invests time in mentoring and developing colleagues, offering training and opportunities for growth.Ensures that the client's needs and relevant information are clearly communicated to the team.Builds connections across various service areas to provide cohesive client service.Establishes trust with both clients and team members.Oversees the delivery of high-quality work within set timeframes, scope, and budget constraints.Experience in the construction sector is an asset.Qualifications:
Must be driven, capable of handling multiple tasks, and well-organized. Should maintain a positive outlook, be adaptable to various work assignments, and be willing to assist colleagues as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.A B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting is required; an MST/MBA is a bonus.CPA license is preferred.At least 5 years of experience, with prior work in the construction industry being essential. Targeting 50% of your work be within the construction industry.Solid technical expertise in taxation.
