Summary:

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas is seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure, with a focus on Point of Sale (POS) systems, workstations, printers, associated software, and Active Directory (AD) management. The IT Specialist will diagnose and resolve technical issues, document incidents in a ticketing system, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. The ideal candidate will have a blend of education and hands-on experience in IT support, particularly in POS environments and end-user devices.

Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstations, printers, and peripheral devices, in accordance with the Operational Level Agreement (OLA).Address software-related issues, including installations, updates, and configurations for business applications.Communicate consistently with staff and retail facilities to maintain and improve day-to-day workflow, researching and implementing IT-related suggestions where appropriate.Ensure the security of our technological infrastructure through audits, reviews, and staff training.Administer and maintain Active Directory, including user account management, group policy administration, and security permissions.Maintain and support POS endpoints, ensuring uptime and performance, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support to address critical IT issues.Accurately document all incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.2+ years of experience in IT support, specifically with POS systems and workstation troubleshooting.Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Extensive knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure.Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred).Must possess a current Driver's License.Benefits:
