The Director of Alumni Relations for the College of Nursing and the School of Dentistry initiates, discovers and cultivates relationships with alumni. The goal is to maximize alumni engagement, in order to advance school/college, as well as university priorities. The Director will connect alumni with university partnership opportunities, as well as assist in educating alumni about the current state of their school/college and anticipated, future needs.The Director leads the Alumni Boards for each school/college they support, in partnership with the Deans and Directors of Development. They also create and execute strategic alumni programming for each school/college they are assigned to. Additionally, the Director will join university and school/college representatives at alumni events throughout the country to enhance alumni affinity and commitment to Creighton University. The Director will oversee their school/college program budgets, as well as assist with university alumni events within the division of University Relations as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesQualify alumni of the College of Nursing and the School of Dentistry to determine if there is interest in becoming a volunteer, informed ambassador and/or a donor.Facilitate the opportunity for engagement and partnership with the school/college/university according to the alumnae/alumnus' interest.

Lead effective alumni boards for each school/college that actively assist with achievement of the school's priorities and needs.

Oversee the development, implementation and assessment of strategic, mission-driven alumni engagement programs to strengthen alumni affinity for the College of Nursing and the School of Dentistry.Manage alumni relations program budgets for each school/college.Partner with the deans, development officers and other University Relations and campus partners to increase engagement of alumni.

QualificationsBachelors' Degree required, Masters preferred

5 years related experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment

Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail

Cultural competency; ability to understand and appreciate cultural differences that impact constituents

Ability to communicate effectively across cultures

Collaboration; ability to listen, understand other viewpoints, find commonalities, persuade and create win-win solutions

Experience managing volunteers and strong interpersonal skills utilized in relationship management

Ability to develop, manage and assess a range of programs involving multiple audiences and stakeholders

Ability to write and speak effectively and credibly to a wide range of alumni, faculty and University administrators

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Appreciation and understanding of Creighton University's mission and the ability to effectively communicate the mission

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
