Estimator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support for the Construction and Development groups. Evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for multi-family residential projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work and identify potential cost impacts.Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality or functionality of the project.Maintain and update cost databases and unit price catalogs to ensure the accuracy of estimates.Work closely with chief estimator, project managers, and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.Stay informed about market trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.QualificationsHigh School Diploma, necessary, College degree in construction preferredSolid understanding of basic accounting principlesFamiliarity with blueprints and ability to read plans2 years of Estimating experience3 - 5 years' of construction experienceMulti-family experience desired
