POSITION SUMMARY:The MEP Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project in regard to Mechanical and Electrical. The MEP Superintendent directly supervises field labor force, including laborers/craft workers. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSABILITES:Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor forceReview and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project ManagerMaintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/EngineerDevelop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project ManagerManage quality programCoordinate site testing and inspection effortsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialManage self-perform features of workEnsure an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring othersManage schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled datesAttend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetingsAssists with PreCon/Estimating phase of the projectVerify final record drawings are accurateMobilizes the site and set up site utilitiesAssures necessary permits are secured and inspections occurReviews and verifies all Requests for Information (RFIs)Reviews and approves submittals for processingReviews cost reports to assure they reflect accurate quantities and work put in placeKeeping detailed daily records of MEPS trade contractors' and work progressJOB SKILLS & ABILITIES GUIDELINES:Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office productsBroad understanding of the industryStrong written and verbal communication skillsFunctions effectively as part of a teamExhibits strong leadership qualitiesDelegates work appropriatelyStrong decision making/problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one to one basis8+ years of GC/Commercial Construction experience in a superintendent role (or similar)5+ years of construction with aviation projects*Attention All Third Party Agencies, Headhunters, and Recruiters-Manhattan Construction will not accept candidate submission by unsolicited third parties through this site or any company email address.
