Sr/Lead MEP Superintendent - Pompano Beach, FL
Role Overview
As a Sr/Lead MEP Superintendent, you will oversee and direct the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and residential construction projects in the Pompano Beach area. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all MEP installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a team of MEP subcontractors and field workers, ensuring all installations meet project specifications, safety codes, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trade superintendents to ensure smooth project execution, addressing any issues related to MEP systems quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure that all MEP installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and the client’s specific needs, conducting quality control inspections regularly.
- Address on-site challenges related to the MEP scope, coordinating quick resolutions with the team to avoid project delays.
- Monitor labor and material costs for MEP work, ensuring that the project remains within budget and on schedule.
- Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and proactively addressing any potential risks.
What We Need From You
- Minimum of 7+ years in MEP construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably on large commercial or residential projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as relevant codes and standards. Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams of MEP professionals and subcontractors to successfully complete complex projects.
- Familiarity with the local building codes, regulations, and suppliers in the Pompano Beach area.
