Job DetailsJob LocationLombardi Campus - Santa Rosa, CAPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Nurse Practitioner Residency Clinician Lead REPORTS TO (TITLE): Nurse Practitioner Residency Program Director1.00 SALARY RANGE: California License as a Nurse Practitioner $130,635 - $182,446 DOE California License as a MD/DO $218,010 - $263,380 - DOEJob Summary:Under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner Residency Program Director, the NPR Clinician Lead is a clinician leader with direct patient care responsibility (clinical FTE of at least 0.4) who is responsible for the supervision of residents within the NP Residency Program at the Campus and responsible for day-to-day operation of the program.Specific Tasks/Duties Include:Work directly with health center operations in scheduling resident's clinical time and maintaining primary care panels within the program.Participate in the development, maintenance, and scheduling of preceptors.Provide advising and guidance to NP residents; support NP residents' education and performance, including collaboration with NPR Program Director for resident remediation and performance improvement.Maintain adequate office hours and on-call support for NP Resident consultation and advisement.Instructional responsibilities include precepting patient care with NP Residents in clinic as required and assisting the NP Residency Program Director in his/her duties.Assist the Clinical Team Leads in the supervision of NP Residents' productivity, punctuality, meaningful participation in huddles, timeliness of documentation, coding/billing, patient panel and practice management according to SRCH and site standards.Evaluate NP residents including timely reporting of NP resident progress to NPR Program Director.Attend team and site meetings as determined by the Program DirectorOther duties as assigned by the NP Program Director (Admissions, Interviews, Orientation, Grant reports).QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Current unrestricted California license as a Family Nurse Practitioner/MD/DOMinimum 5 years of practice as a providerDemonstrates commitment to utilizing Best Practices to enhance a learning environment and serve as a professional role model to the NP Residency Program participants.Demonstrates expertise as primary care provider providing high quality care to populations served by the health centers.Clinical instruction experienceBilingual English & Spanish preferredMinimum 2 years' experience on electronic medical recordsDemonstrates knowledge of compliance issues within the community clinic environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to communicate clearly and effectively through verbal, written, and electronic means.Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrates proficiency with all tasks on the most current FNP Resident competency list.Basic Spanish Comprehensive (speak, read and write) required.Able to review medical history, assess mental health, complete physical exam.
