Role and Responsibilities:

The role of the Business Intelligence Developer is to design, develop, implement and support organizational reporting, research and visualizations. The Developer will be responsible for providing leadership with monitoring tools as well as recommendations to support strategic initiatives and innovative business practices. The Developer will be responsible for working with the Data Analytics team as well as business users throughout the company to organize business intelligence (BI) request across groups. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, diligence, a strong analytical mind as well as excellent communication skills. Your responsibilities will include:Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in the Insurance IndustryWith guidance from senior BI developers or manager:

Design, development and implementation of reporting and visualizations in regard to Data Warehouse, source systems and BI solutionsMonitor and tune BI visualizations and reports to ensure optimal performance of software

Work with senior BI developers to confirm data accuracy of dashboards and reporting that showsthe business performanceGain business and system knowledge from senior employees to improve/build insights thatprovide business recommendationsWith assistance from senior BI developers, provide reporting services to all our Farm BureaustatesEnsures quality control in the implementation of systems and software to automate reportingQualifications:

Bachelor degree Required. Emphasis on Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics preferredSuccessful completion of the Wonderlic aptitude testBasic Knowledge of the Farm Bureau organization and SFBLI products, systems and programs preferredWorking level knowledge of SQLCrystal Reports and SSRS experience preferredPower BI experience as well as DAX formulas or comparable tool such as Tableau preferredSkilled user in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA's, Macros, etc)Database knowledgeData gatheringForward thinking and drivenProblem SolverAbility to learn quickly and always striving for improvementStrong organizational and planning skillsThe ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one's integrity, courage to act and communication skillsThe ability to work with others effectively as exhibited through one's respect for people and commitment to teamworkThe ability to meet organizational goals and customer expectations as exhibited through one'saccountability for results, commitment to service and initiativeThe ability to perform the essential functions of the job as exhibited through one's growth in jobknowledge and professional development
