Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Atlantic Buildings Team!The Electrical Designer is responsible to apply electrical project design support. Electrical Designers evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create/modify designs and drawings.Responsibilities:Participate in design developmentAssist in the creation of specification packagesAssist in verifying all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provisionsSuggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, and view obstacles as opportunitiesCollaborate with the client; act as the Bergmann representative on some projectsMentor and advise junior staff as neededAll other duties as assigned.Qualifications:The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years electrical (architectural) design experience. We are looking for an Electrical Designer with a passion for power, lighting and fire alarm design with proficient skills working in REVIT, CAD and AGI Lighting Software.What You'll Need to Be Successful:Design and technical experience working in coordination with other disciplinesProficient in REVITProficient in AGIExperience working in CADAbility to research code provisions, products, material information, etc.Ability to coordinate information exchange between clients, project manager, and project teamAbility to multitaskWillingness to mentor new designers and internsVerbal and writtenA team player and be able to work independentlyWhat We Offer:At Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most important resource.
