Overview:
i3 is seeking a Network Engineer to be located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The candidate selected will serve on the IBCS Agile Transition contract as part of the Shared Services Support Integration Team within the Support, Infrastructure, and Labs IPT.Responsibilities:Integrate IP based Tactical Networks primarily consisting of RHEL Systems and Cisco devicesWork within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activitiesExecute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issuesServe as an Integration SME to include supporting configuration, troubleshooting, and suggesting changes to improve performanceInteract with Senior leadership when required
Qualifications:Requirements:Bachelors Degree and 5 years of Engineering experience; or a Master's and 3 years; 4 additional years acceptable in lieu of a degree.Hands on Strong experience engineering or administering Cisco networks and/or RHEL SystemsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work within a high stress and dynamic environmentCurrent Security certification (e.g. Security+ CE or CISSP)Strong problem-solving skillsCurrent Secret security clearance requiredPreferred Qualifications:Linux Administration Experience (RHEL)Understanding of routing and switching experience debugging network-oriented applicationsExperience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
