As a DEI Specialist, you will play an important role in driving forward the commitments the US practice has made to center equity in its internal operations as well as its external engagements .The role will partner with discipline leaders and internal groups to supportlocal diversity and inclusion programs, projects, events, and activities to ensure alignment with Buro Happold's strategic goals and mission .
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Using The Just Label framework, assess DEI practices within the region, identifying areas for improvement and providing advice on practical solutionsWork with Human Resources to continue to identify andrespondto DEI related training needs, recruiting and promotion practices, benefits policies, etcWork with our engineering, consulting and advisory practice groups to better embed equity into the firm's service offersCollaboratewith the Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Engagement (based in Bath, England) on firmwide DEI efforts and progress against regional equity plan targetsCollaboratewith Buro Happold's US Region DIF and ERG Leaders and committeesEnsure DEI principles are embedded in throughout the employee experience and life cycleTo be eligible for our DEI Specialist role, we will look for:
8+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role with demonstrated successBachelor's degreeExperience cultivating a culture of diversity and inclusion through training, education, consultation, coaching andcollaboration .Exceptional communication skills and knowledge of DEI and organizational change management frameworksThe ability to manage a portfolio of activities in a busy environment, adapting to shifting prioritiesA proven track record of collaboration with stakeholders across multiple office locationsExperience working in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry is a plusWhat we offer:
Salary range of $90,000 to $125,000.
