Selectek has a growing telecommunications client with an exciting role for a GIS Analyst. This role will ensure the database and fiber optic network design is performed accurately. There will be a strong focus on As Builts in this role.   The Analyst should have experience with ESRI products such as QGIS, ArcGIS, AGOL, ArcMap, ArcCollector, ArcPro, or other relevant GIS based software.Job Duties:
Ensuring database(s) related to network designs is accurate/complete and represents clients’ needs/expectations.Update as-built information into design software and/or client database to ensure deliverable meets expectations.Conduct research to find GIS information related to road types/addresses/utility information/etc. for the engineering teams to perform fiber optic network designs and/or permitting.Any and all duties related to GIS activities that may be required for project(s).
Required:
BA Degree focused on GIS work1+ year as an Analyst for the telecom fiber optic network designProficiency with ESRI products such as QGIS, ArcGIS, AGOL, ArcMap, ArcCollector, ArcPro, or other relevant GIS based software.
Sponsorship: No, must be US Citizen or Green Card holderPay range: $24/hour - $32/hourTerm of assignment: 6 months contract to hirePay method when direct: Hourly eligible for OT payLocation of job: Overland Park, KSHours and shift: Monday – Friday; Flexible start time, 8 hours a dayWork from home: Yes, employees will be expected to work within the office during the first 6 weeks or so while they are training and learning about the company.Working remote: No, they want them to be local and able to come into the office when needed.Overtime expected:  NoTravel: Very minimalWork attire: Casual - Jeans and T-shirts are acceptableDoes the client require a background check and drug test? YesPlease contact Lizzie Johns at 470-203-0754 or Ljohns@selectek.net for more information.Â
