Pershing X

is a technology company pioneering an interoperable, multi-custodial platform that unifies the core areas of wealth management. Launched in 2021, Pershing X uses its capabilities in technology design and data consolidation, and access to investment management solutions to simplify complexities found in managing an advisory business-thereby enabling wealth management professionals to increase productivity and service their clients with a seamless end-to-end experience.

Our mission is helping advisors help more people. Providing timely and accurate wealth data is foundational for the interoperability of the Pershing Wove solutions. As the Senior Vice President, you will be part of our wealth data team that is responsible for the data transformation and governance powering our solutions. You will play the role of data steward and partner with stakeholders across various teams to assist with data governance and data privacy initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesNo direct reports; leads a cross functional team to deliver data governance/data privacy initiatives.Engage with BNY enterprise data management practitioners to support data governance activities and drive innovation on wealth data products and services.Collaborate with data management teams, including data architecture, data engineering, and metadata management to ensure alignment and integration of data stewardship activities in accordance with enterprise data management policies and standards.Develop and maintain data lineage documentation and mappings to support data governance, regulatory, compliance, and data lineage analysis activities.Serve as a subject matter expert on data stewardship best practices, methodologies, and tools and provide guidance and support to stakeholders across Pershing.Set requirements for enhancing our data governance to drive operational efficiencies, product lineage transparency and higher data quality.Engage with the BNY privacy office and act as the data privacy champion supporting awareness initiatives, monitoring regulatory changes and responding to privacy incidents.

ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.7-10 years of total work experience in financial services preferred.Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management concepts, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR).Experience with data governance tooling and technologies, data profiling, data cleansing, and data remediation techniques.Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure.You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution.Technical proficiency with Excel, JIRA, MS Word, MS PowerPoint is needed. Technical skills in any of the following are helpful: Python, SQL, Collibra.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
