Pershing X

is a technology company pioneering an interoperable, multi-custodial platform that unifies the core areas of wealth management. Our mission is helping advisors help more people. Providing timely and accurate wealth data is foundational for the interoperability of the Pershing Wove solutions. As the Vice President, you will be part of our wealth data team that is responsible for the data transformation and governance powering our solutions. You will play the role of data steward and partner with stakeholders across various teams to assist with data transformation and governance related to advisory wealth data.

Responsibilities

Acts as a data steward with subject matter expertise related to advisory data (e.g. CRM, Financial Planning, Account Workflow, Proposal/Models, Portfolio Construction, Direct Indexing, Trading, Reporting).

Analyzes, defines, and prioritizes the data transformation requirements and functional or operational specifications in collaboration with Wove product managers and data owners.

Performs data mining and analysis to determine impact assessment.

Provides consultation to engineering and data solution/product management by thoroughly understanding business processes and cross-functional applications or systems.

Participates in development of the functional design, test plans, and user documentation by analyzing business process flows or client requests and identifying industry or data provider changes.

Manages project communication for globally impactful client issues and ensures team has appropriate resources to achieve project goals.

Interfaces with clients internally and externally to discuss project status, data issues and remediation recommendations.

Develop and maintain data lineage documentation and mappings to support data governance, regulatory, compliance, and data lineage analysis activities.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

Typically requires 12-15 years of total work experience, preferably in securities or financial services.

Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management concepts, and regulatory requirements.

Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure.

You will have strong analytical skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution.

Uses SQL or Python for data mining purposes to troubleshoot data conditions in relational databases. Develops complex script solutions for data conditions in relational databases.

SQL Skills required 10-15 years data analysis querying skills/PL SQL skills/Big Data analysis. Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Collibra a plus.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
