Job Description

As an ALSAC intern, you will learn from experts who have helped us become one of America's top healthcare charities while supporting the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

You will be assigned a day-to-day manager in your industry and our program manager will lead you with networking and professional development events.

Start Date: October 11, 2024Hours: 20 hours a week (Monday-Friday)Pay Rate: Based on work locationWork Location: Memphis, TN (In-Person)Application Process:

Requirements:

A passion for our mission!Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university in good standing or recent graduate (Not further back than October 1, 2024).Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.Must be 18 years of age or older.

Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills:

The Social Media Insights Intern will work with internal business partners and our creative and content team to develop and produce multi-platform content for new storytelling on our organic social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Working on the Social Media Strategy and Engagement Team, you will be exposed to social media content creation end to end, and the insights you provide will impact the content created for our channels with a combined 4M+ following. Project work may include strategy development and content creation to support our youth programs, special campaigns and evergreen content development.

The ideal candidate is someone who has an eye for quality content, an interest in data patterns and understanding the "why" behind content and someone eager to jump in and offer new ideas in a collaborative, fast-paced, FUN! environment.

Majors preferred: Social Media, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Business, Humanities or related majorSkills preferred: Social Media, writing, creative thinking, critical analysis, curiosity, making connections. Experience editing photos, video and audio content as well as graphic design.Projects include evergreen social media content, patient storytelling,Task/projects include working with our multicultural marketing group and our data analytics partner to help inform content strategies and develop social media content.Excellent written and communication skills.
