Please consider applying anyway.Essential Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing assessments in office or community.Utilize comprehensive nursing assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations in direct client care.Monitor medication and administer injections with strict adherence to Thrive's policy and procedure. Adjust monthly medication log according to doctor's medication orders.Monitor signs and symptoms of psychiatric functioning; monitor medication regimen; assist in community networking and education.Provide wellness services and ongoing short term case management and psychotherapy services to adult outpatients;Consult/liaison with psychiatrist and/or medical doctors and other treatment staff;Provide individual, couple, family or group counseling on issues of health and wellness;Provide crisis intervention.Provide referral consultation and education to the community regarding issues of chemical dependency and mental health.Provide wellness/preventive care and mental health consultation, education and training to agency personnel.Develop and implement recovery plans and document services consistent with Thrive standards and/or insurance requirements.Collaborate with other providers, agencies and individuals in the client's network of care.Provide education, training and modeling in basic daily living skills, social or parenting skills.Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.Provide smoking cessation classes/support/education.Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives.Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage at all time.Transport clients as needed.Adhere to Thrive's Guiding PrinciplesQualificationsEducation, Experience and Competencies:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing3 years' experience in mental health setting required.Certifications, Licenses Requirements: Rhode Island registered nursing license requiredValid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the jobPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
