Our team is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neurosciences & Renal TransplantProgressive Care Unit. Our RNs are trained to care for highly acute neuro progressive patients.The patient population on this unit includes but is not limited to: post-op craniotomies, complex spine surgeries, acuteischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and kidney transplants, seizure disorders.Working in PNCU is a wonderful opportunity for nurses interested in the critical care career path.Our unit is an environment in which progressive, career-minded nurses feel challenged,rewarded and valued in a supportive setting. We provide tools, training and residencies tosupport newer RNs in the development of their practice and delivery of patient care.Join our exceptional nursing team at Virginia Mason and find the many ways we offer you thechance to focus on what really matters - our patients.Responsibilities include:Provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status.Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionalsPrepare the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued careCaring for patients with lumbar drains, arterial lines, vasoactive medications, and bedside telemetry monitoring.We deliver inspired people to do meaningful work.Qualifications:We require:Current WA State RN license is required.One or more years with acute patients.CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
