The Architect will work closely with our Radiology, Pathology, Heart & Vascular Institute as well as Informatics Team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES· Builds and maintains assigned applications and interfaces.· Participates in test script development and execution.· Conducts testing for assigned applications.· Coordinates vendor support for functional and technical support of applications, interfaces and equipment.· Participates in training and development of staff and users as assigned.· Provides customer response and updates according to current policies and procedures.· Performs other duties as assigned.· Attends all mandatory education and training programs (including department specific) and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance as well as department safety and specific job-related hazards.· Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.· Attire is professional, neat, clean, and appropriate for the work environment, according to the HHC and/or Department Appearance Policy and a high standard of personal cleanliness is maintained.· Reports to work on time and meets acceptable standard for attendance, based upon the department attendance policy.· Communicates messages clearly and conciselyQualifications REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONSEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience:Ten-plus years of related experience in healthcare ITS is preferred.Eight-plus years’ experience with Sectra PACS/VNA doing technically complex build and testing. Similar experience with another vendor’s PACS will be considered as well.Experience with multiple “ologies” in the PACS environment (e.g. Radiology, Cardiology, Pathology, NeuroOphthalmology).Experience integrating PACS with other applications (e.g. Epic, Powerscibe, Dose Registries, other 3rd party imaging applications).Experience with image exchange between multiple systems (e.g. Ambra, PowerShare, lifeImage, Medcom, etc.).Strong understanding of deploying applications on a variety of platforms (e.g. VDI, Citrix).Experience with HL/7 messaging and interface engines (e.g. CorePoint, Mirth).Project Management experience, specifically implementing and deploying PACS and PACS-related applications.Experience building workflow diagrams using Visio and/or similar applications.Experience collaborating with technical staff, including Storage Engineering, Systems Engineering and Network Engineering teams.Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and the ability to coordinate all required resources to produce a successful solution.Experience monitoring and projecting system requirements that take into account future growth of the organization.
