Senior Business System Analyst

This position is in the Energy Trading and Risk Management application support group, which is primarily responsible for supporting our energy trading system of record. Key responsibilities of this role will include project work and system support of the commodities trading process pertaining to Front, Middle and Back offices. This position will require strong technical skills, the ability to work independently and in teams as well as excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for integration between Commodities Trading Exchanges and Aligne (ICE, CME, etc)Provide support for Aligne TRM, Aligne Analytics, GBO, EOD ReportingProvide support for other system applications in support of the power business, including but not limited toOATI webSettlements Pro, EAS, ZE, Paragon Credit, Paragon ERM (Recs), TRSA (trade surveillance)
Provide technical knowledge and application expertise to the user communityDesign, develop, test and implement updates or solutions to the supported systemsDesign, build and maintain reports for end usersEnsure compliance with established IT control policiesResponsible for ad hoc reports and projects as requiredPerform in a leadership role on projects to facilitate the development of less experienced analystsManage and participate in all upgrades and changes to Energy Trade and Risk Management applicationsMonitor the risk systems, report problems and assist in troubleshooting. This includes after-hours support of the End-of-Day (EOD) process.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years' experience in energy trading applicationsKnowledge of power trading and operationsExperience using SQL and PLSQLStrong knowledge of IT concepts, practices, controls and proceduresProficiency using Windows and the complete MS Office SuiteEffective written and verbal communication skills with technical and business personnelCapacity to manage multiple tasks, solve complex problems, and work under pressureThe ability to work across functions and within teamsStrong knowledge of IT concepts, practices, controls and proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical personnelPerforms a variety of tasks and has a proven ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Aligne's Global Back Office (GBO) and knowledge of SAP interfacePrior experience with FIS (formally known as Sungard) productsAbility to foster and participate in a productive team environmentFlexible, creative, and solution-focused outlook on problem solvingExperience with PowershellAdditional Success Factors
