K?STA I.T is actively seeking a
Cybersecurity Specialist
foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Work Location: This position is hybrid.
Responsibilities :•Provide support for vulnerability management tools, including scanning and reporting, leveraging strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, or UNIX systems for troubleshooting.•Automate workflows using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, and Python.•Analyze and process system logs automatically using tools such as Grep, AWK, and Sed.•Integrate vulnerability management data with broader enterprise services and systems.•Conduct comprehensive data analysis, utilizing a variety of data types (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured), to assess vulnerability remediation efforts.•Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to recommend strategies for improving security measures and reducing vulnerabilities.•Perform trend analysis, develop dashboards, and produce reports using data-driven scripting to provide security performance metrics across multiple departments.•Plan, coordinate, execute, and maintain vulnerability scans using advanced tools to support complex devices, ensuring minimal impact on system operations.•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to scanning processes.•Conduct internal audits on servers, network devices, applications, and other technology assets to identify vulnerabilities.•Ensure security procedures are in place to detect and classify potential cyber threats.
Required Skills:5+ years of experience in IT Security.Strong experience with vulnerability management tools for scanning and reporting.Proficient in Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments.Advanced knowledge of scripting with PowerShell and Python.Experience with log parsing using Grep, AWK, and/or Sed.Nice to Have:
Familiarity with SQL and ETL processes
