What does it mean to be a Business Systems Analyst at GLS?
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will gather business requirements from various stakeholders, recommend effective and optimal solutions to meet the business needs, document proposed solutions, manage and prioritize projects for timely implementation, and perform quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy. You will work on projects to solve business problems in application development, loan originations, operations, and external partner integrations.
How will you drive value within the organization as a Business Systems Analyst?Research, evaluate and analyze current business problems and identify requirementsEstablish and maintain liaison relationship with business partners and IT teams to provide effective technical solutionsEffectively communicate insights, findings, project status and updates with cross-functional team members and managementEnsure quality, accuracy, and on time deliveryCollaborate with business analysts, IT application development and infrastructure teams, and data warehouse developers to design, build, customize, and implement solutions.Partner with other team members to assist with the automation of manual processes and facilitate process improvementWork closely with external vendors as necessary to facilitate exchange automation and enhancementsWhat should you already know to be successful as a Business Systems Analyst?
Minimum of bachelor's degree required.Experience in BA techniques such as process models, data flow diagrams, or other diagramming tools and models is preferredIntrinsically self-motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectivenessFamiliarity of SQL Server preferredExperience in software testing functions is preferredExperience in gathering requirements is desiredExperience with implementing IT technical solutions and process improvements in a Financial Services organization a plusEmployment Requirements:
This is an exempt-level position whereby business needs will dictate the exact work schedule, which should be expected to vary at times.Regular, predictable attendance is required, including overtime hours as business demands dictateEvening and weekend work may be required as job duties demandThe position does not require travel, although traveling opportunities may ariseWhile performing the essential duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the work dayConstantly operate a computer and other standard office equipmentTalk and hear to exchange accurate informationHave close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
