Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.**Position Overview:**The driver will pick up assorted donated foods that will be used for Salvation Army programs and services. This position will require the following of a set pick-up route and also allow for the potential of adding additional customers to the food pick-up route.**Duties:*** Drive program vehicles as it relates to all phases of program implementation, including donation pick-ups, food deliveries, picking up supplies, errands, etc.* Interact professionally with customers.* Responsible for return of paperwork from donated sites and maintain accurate inventory according to policies.* Ensure that mileage logs are completed in accurate and timely manner.* Responsible for maintaining the vehicles that are used. This includes maintaining the proper levels of fuel as well as checking fluids and other safety features of the vehicle.* The ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.* Work with minimum supervision and a high degree of independence. May be required to make independent decisions that may involve unique or unusual situations and/or complex issues and dealing with urgent requests and/or timelines.* Other reasonable duties as assigned.**Qualifications:*** The candidate must have a clean driving record.
