Cyber Security Engineer

This role will be responsible for creating cyber programs and policies, proactively monitoring, assessing and mitigating all security risks across our systems and networks as well as doing hands on Network Security. This will require a deep understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities to be able to build out strong security measures to protect our organization's sensitive information and infrastructure.Responsibilities and skills you ideally bring to the table as a Cyber Security Engineer...Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide security solutions/programs, like SOC2 compliance, to protect against cyber threats and attacksConduct comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our systems and infrastructureDevelop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practicesServe as a subject matter expert on security-related technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint security, and encryptionLead incident response activities, including threat detection, containment, eradication, and recovery, and ensure timely resolution of security incidentsCollaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and DevOps processesInvestigate security breaches and incidents and provide detailed reports on root cause and remediation steps going forwardStay up to date with industry standards, emerging cyber threats, and best practices making recommendations to enhance securityUtilize resources to create and conduct security awareness training sessions for all team membersConduct regular assessment and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks and weaknessesParticipate in all response, recovery and analysis efforts as neededDesirable Previous Experience
Experience designing and implementing security solutions in complex environmentsWorking expertise in networking, network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practicesProven experience with security assessment tools, penetration testing, and vulnerability managementHands-on experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security technologiesStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levelsRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desiredExperience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) and familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR) is a plus
