Job Description: Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our storage infrastructure. As a Storage Engineer, you will primarily work with Dell/EMC Isilon, ECS, PowerVault, and Pure Storage Flash Array or FlashBlade technologies.
Responsibilities: 1. Design, deploy, and maintain storage solutions using Dell/EMC Isilon, ECS, PowerVault, and Pure Storage Flash Array or FlashBlade technologies. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather storage requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient storage solutions. 3. Configure and optimize storage arrays for performance, capacity, and data protection. 4. Monitor storage systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and hardware failures. 6. Implement data protection and disaster recovery strategies, including backups, replication, and failover mechanisms. 7. Automate storage provisioning, monitoring, and management tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. 8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in storage technologies, and evaluate new solutions for potential adoption. 9. Collaborate with vendors and support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. 10. Document storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2. Proven experience as a Storage Engineer, with a focus on Dell/EMC Isilon, ECS, PowerVault, and Pure Storage Flash Array or FlashBlade technologies. 3. Strong understanding of storage concepts, protocols, and architectures, including NAS, SAN, RAID, and file systems. 4. Hands-on experience with storage provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning. 5. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. 6. Experience with data protection technologies, including backups, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery. 7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues. 8. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. 9. Certifications such as Dell EMC Proven Professional, Pure Storage Certified Architect, or equivalent are a plus. 10. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
