At MAG, we look for individuals who thrive in a high-performance environment where challenges are the norm and success is expected.As a Sr Software Developer NGTS you will support the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) development team and training device owners in a wide array of responsibilities. NGTS is a highly advanced virtual training system offering Navy and Air Force pilots the ability to train in a mission setting. The Next Generation Threat System product is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis and research, and development.*** This is a Hybrid Opportunity - after initial on site training, expectation is 1/2 days a week onsite***Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret scurity clearanceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Duties include, but not limited to:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment.This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.Support software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations.Demonstrates a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software designEvaluates and review C++ language code Programming using C++, Python 3, HTMLDevelops Parallel processes, threading, process communicationDevelops Web-based applications using development technologyCollaborates with team members to design future enhancementsMust have familiarity with time-series analysis a plus
Requirements:Minimum RequirementsKnowledge and SkillsThe required skills and knowledge include:Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such C++.
Ability to communicate and present technical details both written and verbally.Must have the ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (1-2 days a week in office) with a mandatory 2-3 month on site training period.The minimum years of related experience required:10 years of relevant work experience as a Software Developer
EducationThe minimum level of education required is:BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify with at least 10 year of C++ experience
Desired RequirementsThe desired skills, knowledge, and education include:Experience with scripting, database, and programming in Python 3, and HTML.
Experience support Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.
