Responsible for providing transportation for designated customers to and from remote parking areas and other specific points. Responds to requests for customer service and creates/maintains a positive public image as an initial point of contact for customers. This person will also assist in meeting the general needs of the plant operations (maintenance) team.

Requirements

Must possess current CDL.

Performs transportation services for customers to and from parking areas and specific points, such as the facility's entrances.

Maintains and follows a specific pick-up and drop-off schedule at designated areas.

Responds to specific transportation requests as required.

Greets customers entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle.

Possesses knowledge of, and stays current with, state traffic criminal and civil statutes relevant to motor vehicle operations.

Able to drive both automatic and standard transmissions.

Drives the vehicle in a safe manner following all motor vehicle laws, including speed limits in and around congested areas and on the hospital's campus.

Possesses the ability to drive safely in all types of weather.

Handles and maintains keys, radios and equipment per the hospital's policies and procedures.

Inspects vehicle for routine maintenance.

Reports to the manager and documents any vehicles issues or problems.

Ensures a clean interior of the vehicle. Sweeps and picks up any trash at the end of the shift.

Communicates appropriately and clearly to manager, co-workers and other hospital staff.

Recognizes and responds appropriately to unique needs of varying age groups with whom she/he has contact.

Recognizes and responds to safety factors for age level involved.

Follows all safety and infection prevention and control policies and procedures of the hospital.

Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.

Assists in the supervision, coordination and monitoring of department activities.

Assists with parking lot activities.

Responds to calls, requests, complaints and assistance in an effective and timely manner.

Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

Able to work productively and effectively.

Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Performs office duties during down-time.
