This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. Due to the nature of the work involved, this position requires a

hybrid schedule (three days a week onsite)

at our locations in

Muscatine, IA . Remote candidates will not be considered. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks. They ensure the smooth operation of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet systems, and intranets. Their duties include configuring hardware like routers, switches, and network cards, monitoring network performance, and performing regular updates to ensure network security and efficiency. Network technicians also assist in diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, often working closely with IT support staff and users to address any network-related problems swiftly. Their role is crucial in ensuring reliable and efficient network operations for businesses and organizations.

What We Need:Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting of network systems.Taking ownership of trouble tickets and seeing through to resolution.Responsible for the coordination of moves/add/changes to the network infrastructure.Responsible for the allocation and documentation of TCP/IP addresses.Participate in project activities for the Network Operations team.Assist with research, development, and application of new network technologies.Participate in the planning, design and implementation of new systems and networking components into the HNI Network.Maintains records and documentation in support of our Network.Change management of network configurations, documentation, and network management system.Provides capacity planning and performance monitoring of the production network infrastructure.Generates and distributes network performance reports, network availability reports, and trouble ticket reports.Coordinate vendor maintenance and repair activities of network equipment.In the event of a disaster, be prepared to participate in the recovery of the Network Operations systems or regional data center.Assist in implementation and support of cybersecurity controls.Participant in off-hours support rotation.What You Have:Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (Bachelor's Degree preferred)1-3 years experience with IP networking design and operational concepts including subnetting, tunneling, QoS using LAN and WAN connectivity media1-3 years experience with Cisco IOS, and Cisco hardware including routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and firewalls. Must be comfortable with operation and configuration using the CLI1-3 years experience troubleshooting wireless issues.What You're Good At:Ability to work within the guidelines of release, change, incident, problem management, and project management (Waterfall, Agile, SDLC) frameworksStrong problem solving and analytical abilities (root cause analysis and problem resolution)Leadership qualities, including ability to influence others, and drive organizational and IT initiativesAdapts to both working alone, or as part of a larger team, for varying durationDemonstrates professional behavior when communicating and working with members, vendors and/or customers.
