Description:MSG is a bold, innovative, and fast-growing social sciences management consulting firm dedicated to helping government clients achieve and sustain performance excellence. We are currently seeking a Database Developer to support projects with the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Labor.Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Maintain relational databases in AWS RDS and MS SQL Server.Develop new and modify existing tables in an existing relational database.Develop new and modify existing stored procedures and functions.Develop ad hoc queries to support custom data requests.Implement and maintain database backup processes.Develop custom stored procedures to be used with report templates.Work closely with developers to tweak and optimize queries for increased performance.Participate and contribute to a team approach to software development and problem solving using Agile/Scrum practices.Maintain accounts and access to database systems.Provide artifacts and screenshots of database components to the security team for inclusion in our security authorization package.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, database administration, IT or similar degree.Experience working with large web-based database collection and data warehouse systems.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.5+ years hands-on experience developing, debugging, testing, and documenting relational database systems.U.S. Citizenship is required.EEO Statement:
