Senior International Tax Accountant

I. Position Description

The senior International Tax Accountant will support the corporate tax department primarily in the following areas: U.S. international tax compliance projects, quartely and annual provision, tax planning/special projects, and audit defense work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and Review US international income tax returns, such as Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, and 1118.

Assist in the development and implementation of international tax planning strategies.

Prepare and review components of the annual tax provision.

Work collaboratively with team members within and outside the Finance organization to ensure data is collected timely and work is completed accurately within the prescribed deadlines.

Support the tax team with ad-hoc projects as required

II. Performance Objectives

Timely and accurately prepare tax schedules and identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of tax processes.

Develop collaborative working relationships across the organization to ensure timely sign off from various internal and external stakeholders.

III. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA and/or Masters of Tax is a plus.

2-4 years of relevant US international tax experience with one of the large public accounting firms or multinational corporate tax department.

Working knowledge of a broad range of international corporate tax matters such as foreign tax credits, dual consolidated losses, Subpart F, look-thru, GILTI, BEAT and understanding of US international tax attributes.

Strong working abilities with Microsoft Office, SAP, OneSource, and other technologies (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

Excellent analytical and creative thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage workload, multiple priorities, deadlines, and time without direct supervision.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax information.

Excellent tax research skills using RIA, CCH, and Bloomberg Tax.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

IV. Physical Requirements & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
