RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) and Construction Management Division is hiring Construction Inspectors in and around the Lake Okeechobee, FL area. As a Construction Inspector with RK&K you will lead and strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business. Including highway, bridge, design / design-build projects. Opportunities for growth and training into construction management and office engineering careers.Essential FunctionAssisting the Project Administrator in daily roadway inspectionEnsuring contractor compliance alongside quality controlPerforming verification inspections and testing as requiredThese tests and inspections include, but are not limited to: earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc.This position provides general supervision and instruction for the CEI Inspectors on the projects
Required Skills and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years of experience in construction inspectionCTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level IICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level IICTQP Drilled ShaftCTQP Final Estimates IFDOT Intermediate MOTIMSA Traffic Signal Inspector
Preferred Skills and ExperienceBS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionPrevious senior roadway inspection experience
