Position Overview:
As the Construction Plumbing Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supervising all plumbing activities on our construction sites. Your expertise in both residential and commercial plumbing, combined with your exceptional leadership skills, will ensure that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position is hands-on, and the ideal candidate must be able and willing to actively work on projects, as well as to have the ability to direct them.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all plumbing activities on residential and commercial construction projects.Lead and mentor a team of skilled plumbers, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to achieve project goals.Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve any plumbing issues that arise during construction.Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.Essential Job Functions:
Work with the Contractors Superintendent to ensure schedules are up to date and all deadlines are met.Ensure that each job has the materials needed to complete the job, with assistance from the Warehouse Manager.Schedule rental equipment as needed.Manage all aspects of field supervision, including quality, cleanliness, and safety compliance.Oversee the Construction Technicians, their work schedules, and provide onsite direction.Assist Service Technicians in resolving onsite issues.Manage project progress to ensure timely completion.Meet inspectors on job sites for required inspections.Communicate with the President/Owner about project issues or problems.Work as a team leader with all company departments and perform necessary functions as required.Cooperate fully with the President/Owner and other members of the management team.Perform any other duties assigned by the President/Owner.Maintain an acceptable attendance record and follow company policies.Promote and demonstrate behavior consistent with company policies.Organizational Relationships:
Report directly to the Vice President of Construction/EstimatorMaintain a close working relationship with the Service Manager and Warehouse Manager.Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
General knowledge of plumbing products and local plumbing codes.Ability to manage people and lead teams.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and business applications.Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Working Conditions:
Ability to withstand long periods of walking or standing.Capability to work outside in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.Willingness to travel to job sites.Why Join Us?
