Lead PowerApps Developer
Location:
Remote, local to Washington DC is preferred.
Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and either hold an active TSA or Client Public Trust clearance or have previously held a TSA or Client Public Trust clearance.
Position Overview:
Marathon TS is seeking a proven Lead Developer to create custom solutions for our Department of Homeland Security client. A key function of this role is the ability to create complex flows/triggers in PowerApps, visualize data, support in best practice database design, particularly guiding their transition of a legacy on Premise system to O365 and SharePoint. This developer will provide support in the following areas, but not limited to developing and updating custom solutions in the MS PowerApps and SharePoint platforms (e.g., automate business processes, creating custom user interfaces), developing and maintaining a user story backlog, create custom SharePoint Pages, extend PowerApps pages functionality with Dataverse integration, data migration, and coordinating and implementing change requests. The ideal candidate will need to have extensive management and consulting experience in these areas, and additionally will have proven experience leading a development team. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Provide critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component level. Build a standalone application using power pages to capture data and saving using Dataverse. Support the design, development and implementation of information systems. Ensure design and development follow complete life cycle development and are in compliance with design requirements and specifications and government requirements. Lead a cross-functional team of developers and engineers in designing and implementing scalable software solutions, enhancing project delivery efficiency, and fostering a collaborative team environment through mentorship and agile practices. Create and update legacy system APIs for data connections. Manage, support, and potentially perform SharePoint site creation, administration, and site governance while maintaining up to date documentation. Automate business processes. Develop and maintain a user story backlog. Create custom SharePoint Pages. Coordinate and implement change requests. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college, university, or academic institution in the United States. If no degree, must have four (4) additional years of work experience 9+ YOE total 5+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerApps including developing and deploying custom PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI solutions. Hands on working knowledge and understanding of the Canvas Apps framework including customization experience with data connections and Canvas Apps. Experience integrating PowerApps and Power Automate flows with a variety of data sources and leveraging connectors. Understanding of the creation and configuration of PowerApps and their limitations. Knowledge of user-centered design practices, designing and architecting web applications, and familiarity with accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508). SDLC experience working in an Agile environment, including unit testing and QA processes, configuration management, estimation, build and release processes. Ability to work as part of an integrated functional development team Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Online Ability to work with customers to assess needs, triage issues, resolve problems, satisfy expectations; knows products and services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Tech stack needed:
