Test Automation Intern (Winter 25)

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.

We are looking for a Test Automation Intern to support the implementation and test of key aspects of our Humanoid software. Tentative Internship dates Early Jan - March 2025

Responsibilities:

Implement tests plans for testing software/firmware for Humanoid compute platformDevelop Python scripts to support data management, test automation or robot calibrationContribute to the development of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructureSupport hardware/software integration in the labRequirements:

Graduate student or recent graduate in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum 10 weeks internship, 1 to 2 terms preferredAbility to showcase extra-academic activities working on hardware/software projectsFluent with C++ and PythonDeep understanding of LinuxGood knowledge of computer architecture, communication buses and protocols like Ethernet, Ethercat, Serial, CAN or USBComfortable using lab instruments (Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers...) and debugging tools (Lauterbach...)Bonus Qualifications:

Experience with the Bazel build systemExperience with Docker containers
