to drive the business by delivery of IT security services or functions. This position would perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.At Ameritas, our mission is Fulfilling Life. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.What you doAssist Enterprise Security in the various areas of responsibility the department is charged with:
Security Engineering
Manage, maintain, and monitor the organizations security toolingAnalyze and implement security controls in various environments
Vulnerability ManagementIdentifying, assessing, reporting on, and managing vulnerabilities across the organizationPreparing reports that document vulnerability trends within the organization
Security OperationsMonitoring and responding to security incidentsAnalyzing logs and other data sources to identify potential threatsAutomating security improvements
Risk ManagementIdentifying, analyzing, and evaluating risksMonitoring and responding to security requests
What you bringActively enrolled in an Information Technology or Information Security degree program at least part-timeAble to fulfill a year-round commitment part-time (PT) during the academic school year and full-time (FT) during the summerPT includes 10-20 hours a weekFT includes 30-40 hours a week
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeDesire to learn and growEffective documentation skill for process and standard developmentExcellent communication skills and ability to work with othersFamiliarity with programming or scripting languages strongly desired
