Physical Product and Pricing ManagerRemote, some travel required

RPI Print is a leading provider of digital print services that put our customers first and power creative solutions for high-quality brands such as RPI's own Blurb and MagCloud applications. We are seeking a data-driven, innovative, and strategic Physical Product and Pricing Manager to join the Blurb team in building out and maintaining a pricing strategy and exciting new physical products that will drive the future of everything Blurb.

This remote position will lead the pricing strategy across the physical product line, from initial implementation to discount strategies. The role requires analyzing company costs, industry pricing trends and prices at competitor companies, and developing strategies for pricing to improve sales. They will also be responsible for developing and partnering in the launch of new physical products to complement Blurb's full product offering. This involves maintaining a deep knowledge of the market, awareness of what the competition is doing, and clear goals for the success of the product.

Develop and implement pricing strategies that enhance profitability

Collaborate with cross functional teams to monitor cost movements closely

Monitor and report on pricing performance and competitiveness

Analyze price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels

Assist in creating promotional campaigns, conducting pricing optimization and cost-benefit analysis

Develop pricing proposals for new products and services

Track market trends and stay updated on competitor prices c

Regularly audit pricing across global systems

Collaborate with product, sales, and finance teams on pricing and physical product decisions

Stay informed on pricing best practices and market dynamics

Conduct experimentation and market testing of current and proposed physical products

Respond to the market for physical products needs

Work closely with operations, engineering, product, and merchandising teams to develop and launch new products

Know the Blurb products inside and out and monitor the trends of the target audience

Complete extensive research to inform product development decisions ensuring Blurb is releasing products that meet customer and needs

Basic Qualifications

BS/BA Degree in Business Administration or a related field

3-5+ years prior experience in a similar role at an ecommerce company, with strong exposure to pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation

Strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts

Experience launching physical products, navigating the complexities of balancing the physical development and fulfillment requirements

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Strong analytical skills, comfortable with numerical data, and strong attention to detail

Proven experience in market research and prioritizing the needs of the customer

Experience within a global company and navigating global site changes and launches

Preferred Qualifications

High bar for operational excellence

Experience working closely with product, design, and marketing to implement launches and changes

Passion for publishing, photography, and supporting creators

Experience with printing equipment and physical book development
