We are seeking a driven and team-oriented Senior Full-Stack Software Development Engineer to join our Blurb team where there will be endless opportunity to build exciting new technologies that will drive the future of everything Blurb.In this hybrid role, based in Seattle, you will work closely with other talented developers on challenging and rewarding projects. If you’re looking for a role where you will have a true voice and your ideas have true value among your colleagues, we invite you to reach out.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate as a dedicated team member, consistently aiming for project success and ongoing personal growth.Develop, design and maintain full stack applications using best software development practices.Challenge and be challenged in detailed and constructive code review sessions.Participate in agile and scrum ceremonies to support positive team, project and process development.Research, troubleshoot and debug technical issues to overcome challenges and produce clean, efficient and easy to understand code.Write documentation regularly to help guide colleagues of the present and the future.Be a defender of our customers and help build monitoring around the health of our systems.Show up eager to create and excited to be part of a business that uses technology to build beautiful books.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).5-8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience with a strong focus on full-stack development, including significant front-end work.Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.Experience with database management systems, including both SQL and NoSQL.Strong understanding of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation (API, web, and integration).Proficiency with version control systems, preferably Git.Strong debugging skills for identifying and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively.Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.A passion for learning new technologies and strong teamwork and collaboration skills.At RPI/Blurb, we recognize the strength in diversity and strongly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
