Full-Time, 40 Hours/WeekMonday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pmHybrid (Onsite 2-3 days/Week)Summary:Coordinates the pre-awards planning, organization, preparation, assembly and submission of research grant and sponsored projects applications to private and public funding agencies and industry. Coordinates the post-award administration of research grants and sponsored projects including clinical trials.

Responsibilities:1. Provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities.

2. Coordinates with Principal Investigators (PI) and staff on grant development activities; establishes and maintains contact with the funding agency representative and conducts funding opportunity research.

3. Interacts with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements.

4. Interacts effectively with Institute leadership and staff, principal investigators, study teams, hospital staff and external organizations.

5. Collaborates with the, financial coordinator, billing coordinator and accounting to ensure conformity and compliance with all aspects of study financial management.

6. Other duties as required.Other information:Technical Expertise1. Ability to understand complex medical principles, practices and techniques and appropriate use of medical terminology a must.

2. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.

3. Experience in healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.

4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Experience with grant/financial/study management reporting packages required.

Education and Experience:1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required. Master’s degree preferred.

2. Years of experience: Minimum of two (2) years grants and sponsored research experience in health or academic setting required.

3. Years of experience supervising: None

4. Experience with research grant management, budgeting and accounting required.

5. Ability to function effectively as a team member and independently.

6. Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), problem solving and accounting skills are required.

7. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously coordinate and report administrative and financial aspects of research grants and contracts in varying levels of development, execution and completion.
