The position is responsible for the design of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave semiconductor integrated circuits for low-noise and high-power operation. The role involves evaluation of compound semiconductor and silicon technologies for product development, including both chips and packages. We are looking for a team member comfortable with a start-up environment and evolving roles in product definition and design testing of integrated circuits.Description

DutiesThe RFIC Design Engineer will lead and develop core products in PseudolithIC's heterogeneous integration platform based on a combination of silicon and compound semiconductor devices. The design scope ranges from analog circuitry to millimeter-wave circuit design, with some knowledge of basic digital control elements. The RFIC Design Engineer will work collaboratively within the Design Group to develop high-performance circuits based on a variety of integrated circuit platforms and will need to anticipate testing, packaging, and verification approaches that reduce product cost. The team member will work closely with the manufacturing team and other stakeholders. Successful candidates will thrive in a hands-on, independent role and can offer leadership. The position seeks veteran candidates who can adapt to management roles.Qualifications

Deep understanding of analog, radio-frequency, and millimeter-wave circuit designDeep understanding of radio-frequency design concepts such as analysis of noise, linearity, mismatch, stability, and other analog impairmentsFamiliarity with various transceiver architectures and their trade-offs, system specifications, and ability to translate system into circuit requirements at the IC levelAbility to design circuit blocks up to 100 GHz and advise on testing strategiesBackground experience with mixed-signal circuit techniques in silicon CMOSExperience with Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS, and/or Cadence AWR environmentsFluency with 2.5D/3D electromagnetic simulation, e.g., EMX, Momentum, ClarityKnowledge of design automation software is beneficial5+ years of industry experience in the field of Si/SiGe radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFIC) and/or GaN/GaAs/InP microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMIC) with demonstrated design and product successMS or PhD in electrical engineering or relatedThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Salary (+bonus) is dependent on the experience of the candidate.
