Overview:

Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Inc. d/b/a UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida is seeking an IS Application Analyst 2responsible for coordinating transplant information from several sources (both internal and external), analyzing that data and summarizing the information to draw conclusions and make decisions in collaboration with the various multi-disciplinary solid organ teams. Individual will utilize policies, existing knowledge bases and tools available (to include statistical analyses packages) to assist in formulation of recommendations. The employee must assimilate customer requirements, utilize standard IS methodologies, and gather information from various sources when designing solutions for business needs for projects with defined scope (currently key database tools are the OTTR Transplant Database, Epic Electronic Health Record, Decision Support databases, and data provided by outside Transplant Registries). This position will also provide support to the Info System Specialists and the Information Services Department.Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:The position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or closely related field + 3 years of relevant work experience. In the alternative, employer will accept an applicant with 5 years of relevant work experience. Examples of the required work experience include healthcare experience, project management, programming/coding, or system implementation coordination. Must also have experience using software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver".

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.Licensure/Certification/Registration: None indicated
