Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM

Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY

Provide daily operational information security support to the UF Health Shands enterprise. Support information security initiatives throughout the enterprise. Act as a resource for UF Health Shands departments and units on technical information security matters. Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations. Flexibility and the ability to change priorities quickly are often required of this position. On-call support responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:BS degree and 3 years IT experience, at least one of which must be within a broad, complex multi-facility organization working with at least 1 of the following technologies and processes: firewalls, virtual private networks, network access control, security information and event monitoring, intrusion prevention or detection systems, vulnerability management, penetration testing, incident handling, risk assessments, system security, or computer forensics.An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a BS degree.The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization to resolve information security problems.Demonstrated and applied knowledge of security procedures, protocols and tools.Must be able to gather, organize and analyze information and develop solutions aligned with the business requirements and constraints.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Industry recognized IT security professional certification(s) from organizations such as SANS/GIAC, EC Council, ISC2 or ISACA is preferred.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'. NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
