Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controls Technician. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a background in engineering, controls technology, and manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and improving our automation solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of Allen Bradley, PLC, VFD Powerflex, servo systems, conveyor, and electrical troubleshooting in a challenging and rewarding environment. Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, simulate and test automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks.
  • Develop and install control systems and software to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform regular system checks, troubleshoot issues, and provide immediate solutions to maintain the smooth functioning of all systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and implement control changes.
  • Maintain and improve existing automation solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date and meet company standards.
  • Participate in the design and installation of new manufacturing equipment and systems, from initial conception to completion.
  • Provide technical support to other team members to resolve machinery and process-related issues.
  • Document all control processes and changes, maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
  • Ensure all work adheres to industry safety and design standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Allen Bradley, PLC, VFD Powerflex, and servo systems.
  • Proficiency in conveyor and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of automations, change control, and automation solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to troubleshoot and make decisions based on data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Must be a team player, with the ability to also work independently when required.
