Job Title: Computer Systems Engineer
Location: USA, NC-Wilmington Onsite
Full-time 40 hours, 8 am to 5 pm
Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and debug software required for the operation of computer systems used to manufacture optical fiber.
• Support automation and image processing systems
• Work on interfaces with control and measurement equipment
• Interact with customers at all levels in Production, Engineering and IT.
• Some after-hours on-call support may be needed
Required Education & Experience:
• B.S
in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics
• 2 years of experience developing and maintaining applications using .NET (VB, C#, ASP)
• Familiar with SQL queries for Oracle or other databases
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of camera systems
• Ability/experience with digital image processing and vision systems
• Familiar with integration of software and electrical hardware
Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership):
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
• Able to communicate equally well with engineers, production associates, and managers
• Self-motivated, independent, high initiative
