The Team

The Database Administration team supports the Fidelity Brokerage database platform on Db2 on z/OS, Aurora PostgreSQL on AWS and Aerospike on AWS along with replication of data across Db2, Oracle, Postgres, Kafka, Aerospike and CockroachDB. The team engages in activities starting with the physical design of the database infrastructure leading up to and beyond deployment such as replication, SQL performance review, SQL tuning as well as security

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience

• Expertise in distributed technologies including in cloud such as Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience in DB2 z/OS Database Administration in a large sophisticated Database Environment
• Database Design
• Extensive Experience in SQL, REXX, JCL, COBOL
• Experience in Qrep and IIDR replication products
• Working knowledge of CA Database Tools
• Expertise in CI/CD utilities such as TerraForm and Jenkins Core technologies
• Expertise in AWS concepts and services like IAM, SSO, KMS/CMK,PG, PHZ,VPC, Route53, RDS, RDS-Proxy, Lambda, S3, EBS, CloudWatch, DMS, etc.

• Providing Application Database and Replication support for a large PostgreSQL and DB2 z/OS sysplex environment
• Providing Application Database and Data Migration support for an evolving cloud based database infrastructure
• Tuning SQLs for Performance
• Maintenance of Databases – Utilities management
• Providing 24x7 on-call support
• Database Engineering,
